Vitalik Buterin defends Tornado Cash

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin published a letter in support of Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm, who faces up to five years in prison.

Vatalik Buterin emphasized that as a staunch advocate of privacy, he has supported Storm’s work from the beginning. He positioned privacy tools like Tornado Cash as essential protection against the misuse of personal data by government bodies and private corporations. He also noted that he personally used Tornado Cash for anonymous transactions when purchasing software, making charitable donations, and in several other instances.

Solana Mobile to airdrop SKR token

Solana Mobile shared Wednesday that its long-anticipated SKR token will go live on Jan. 21.

The update builds on Solana Mobile’s December announcement that SKR would debut in January with a fixed supply of 10 billion tokens.

In a post on X, the team said that a snapshot has already been taken for an airdrop allocation, with 20% of the total supply set aside for users and developers eligible to receive tokens.
