ETH Microstrategies: U.S. Firms Accumulate and Stake ETH
CW30. SharpLink Gaming and other U.S.-listed firms are building large ETH reserves and staking them, signaling a shift from the Bitcoin-focused model. Binance adds yield-bearing stablecoins USYC and cUSDO as collateral, while Solana plans to boost network compute capacity to 100M units.

ETH Microstrategies
Since 2025, four US-listed companies represented by SharpLink Gaming, Bitmine Immersion Tech, Bit Digital and BTCS Inc. have built a "ETH micro-strategy" that is different from MicroStrategy's holding paradigm by purchasing ETH on a large scale and staking on the chain.
SharpLink Gaming (SBET) has acquired ~79949 ETH for ~$259M between July 14~20, bringing total ETH holdings to ~360807. It now holds more ETH than any other entity in the world, including the Ethereum Foundation. The capital market seems to be positive to this ETH strategy.
More stablecoins accepted by Binance as collateral
Circle on Thursday announced that the world's biggest crypto exchange would begin accepting USYC, a type of stablecoin that shares yield with investors, as collateral from institutional clients. While the news will be of interest primarily to a niche subset of traders, the new arrangement is significant as another step in the rapid integration of the traditional and crypto realms of finance.
On Thursday, Binance also announced that it would likewise be integrating cUSDO, another yield-bearing stablecoin; cUSDO (a.k.a. OpenEden OpenDollar) is issued by OpenEden Digital, a Bermuda-licensed and regulated entity.
Solana to increase to 100M compute units for higher capacity
Solana’s core development team is preparing to significantly raise the network’s computational capacity with a new proposal. The Solana compute unit limit increase aims to meet the growing demands of high-performance decentralized applications (dApps).
Specifically, Solana developers propose increasing the network's block capacity by 66% to meet growing demand for block space. The new proposal, SIMD-0286, suggests raising the per-block compute limit from 60 million to 100 million compute units.
